Feeding Frenzy - A Chompy Game

I was browsing through the games in Yahoo and decided to try out one called "Feeding Frenzy". I was a bit amused to find out that the game involves eating fish smaller than you so that you can get big and eat bigger fish!

When I tried it out, a word close to my heart was included in the game. What is it? The word "Chomp!" of course! Whenever "my fish" would eat consecutively and in combos, it would go "Chomp!". Hehehe… So I just had to recommend it here in my blog.

If you get the free download (in contrast to playing the game online), you get to unlock 6 free underwater screensavers whenever you clear a stage. Aside from that, whenever you clear a level, you learn lots of amazing fun facts for under the sea.

Order of the Stick # 247 Decoded

Aside from Beerkada, I also make it a point to regularly read Order of the Stick by Rich Burlew. At one point of the story arc (OOTS Strip #245), one of the female characters, the rogue Haley Starshine, contracted an "unknown" ailment preventing her from speaking normally. From then till now, all her words became gibberish. At first I thought her gibberish was nonsense but a recent strip proved otherwise.

Now I understand what R.B. meant when halfling ranger Belkar Bitterleaf said "And good news for fans of cryptograms".

At the 309th OOTS strip, Haley went out on a New Year’s Eve dinner date with Elan  the Bard, Haley’s love interest. Haley, thinking (with normal words) wanted to say, "Elan, I’m in love with you". Of course, when she said this out loud, it was all gibberish. But I matched the letters of the right words with the gibberish and lo and behold! They matched! It got me hooked to decoding the rest of Haley’s earlier dialogue’s from when she started talking funny.

Lyndon Gregorio at the 11th Asian Cartoon Exhibit

Every year, the Japan Foundation organizes the Asian Cartoon Exhibition where they showcase the various cultures and societies of Asia through the medium of cartoons. They would select one artist to represent the countries from Asia and these artists would provide cartoons based on the theme of the year. This year, 2006, is the 11th Asian Cartoon Exhibit with the theme of "Asian Youth Culture". And the chosen representative of the Philippines is none other than …

3-in-1 Beerkada Event: The Great Bowl-kada

You read that right! This is a 3-in-1 event! The Great Bowl-KADA!!!

Because plans for the Beerkada Book 6 Launch went kaput, we decided on organizing a different one. As you probably know (or not) June is the anniversary of Beerkada, and it also happens to be the birthday of the creator, Lyndon Gregorio. So I’m inviting all of you to celebrate on June 10, Saturday at SM Megamall Bowling Alley from 4:00 pm onwards.
